September’s TBR list

As I am sure many of you know, buying and reading books are two entirely different hobbies But I think Henry Ward Beecher said it best: “Where is human nature so weak as in a bookstore?” This month I had twelve books on my TBR pile, so I decided that this was the month to hunker down and read them all!

Discovering new worlds, one page at a time!

The first book on my list is Shadow and Bone written by Leigh Bardugo. After enjoying reading the Six of Crows I knew I wanted to read more of her work!

The second book is titled The Davenports and is written by Krystal Marquis. The story focuses on the Davenport family in the 1910s, Chicago. I’ve seen this book around for a while and am so excited to be finally reading it!

Third on this long list is It Starts with Us. I have been wanting to read a Colleen Hoover book for so long! I’ve heard many good reviews and can’t wait to read it!

Number four is The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood. I like the idea of reading a science-based romance, so I’m excited to get started!

Next up at number five is Dancing the Charleston. I’ve been a fan of history and Jaqueline Wilson for a large chunk of my life, so I’ve no idea why I haven’t read it sooner!

The sixth book on my list is A Good Girls Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson. I’ve never read a crime thriller before but after a friend told me how good it was, I thought I’d give it a try!

Seventh place on the list goes to another romance book, Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow written by Gabrielle Zevin. I have seen it all over social media, and so I picked up a copy in a local store, read the blurb and the rest is ‘History!’

Another Colleen Hover book, Reminders of Him, makes it onto the list in eighth place. Like I said earlier, I want to read more of her work and after a friend very kindly lent me their copy, I’ll get stuck into it this month too.

White Bird: A Novel written by RJ Palacio takes ninth place on this list. After reading the graphic novel multiple times, I knew I had to get my hands on the novel form.

You’ve Reached Sam by Dustin Thao has the next spot on the list. This is another book I’ve seen loads of great reviews for. I hope after reading it, I can give it a glowing review too!

Nearly there, guys! Next on the pile is Ali Hazelwood’s science romance, Love on the Brain. I think I’m becoming a hopeless romantic

The last book on my TBR list for September is Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston I’ve heard many good things about this book.  It’s another book I keep seeing everywhere and now it is a film. I am excited to read this book and then maybe even watch the film.

With that, this article draws to a close. I hope you’ll join me in reading something from your TBR list or be inspired by something on mine.

Happy reading!
